Wayne State Professor Will study water quality improvement in Flint

Since the discovery a year ago that Flint’s tap water contained levels of lead above the federal action level, the city’s water source has been switched from the Flint River.  State and federal agencies have also stepped up treatment of the city’s drinking water in hopes of restoring a bio-film within the city’s pipes to protect the damaged pipes.

Join the members of the Engineering Alumni Council as we begin the Fall semester in kicking off the Engineering Alumni Volunteer Corps! Volunteer programs are the heart and soul of many philanthropy programs around the world. Our goal in creating the Engineering Alumni Volunteer Corps is to engage alumni to find purpose, and meaning through a network of volunteers who support engineering education in Detroit. We're looking for like minded individuals who have real world skills, and are enthusiastic about reconnecting and giving forward to the college of engineering and Wayne State University.
