Scott Baker, '05, has opened Baker & Elowsky PLLC, a law firm in Novi that specializes in municipal law.

Paul Beardslee, '88, of Beardslee Law was appointed Calhoun County district judge.

Darren Burmania, '04, joined Miller Canfield as a senior attorney in the firm's Grand Rapids office.

Ronald Chapman, '84, was named one of 30 Leaders in the Law for 2016 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. He is the founder of Chapman Law Group.

James Crowley, '84, was elected a principal at Miller Canfield in Detroit.

Benjamin Glazebrook, '06, was selected to participate in the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association Inn of Court program. He is an attorney with Plunkett Cooney.

Sandra Glazier, '82, will be the featured speaker at the Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium in April. She is a shareholder at Lipson Neilson Cole Seltzer Garin PC.

Paul Isso, '11, became a registered sports agent with Arizona State University. He owns The Isso Law Firm in Phoenix.

Richard Kitch, '54, of Kitch Drutchas Wagner Valitutti & Sherbrook, was named one of 30 Leaders in the Law for 2016 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.

Tanya Lundberg, '07, will receive the 2016 Regional Leadership Award by the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. Lungberg is an attorney with Collins Einhorn Farrell PC.

Mitchell McIntyre, '12, was selected to participate in the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association Inn of Court program. He is an attorney with Plunkett Cooney.

Robert Raitt, '93, was named one of 30 Leaders in the Law for 2016 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. He is a Michigan Auto Law partner.

Linda Ross, '88, was named one of 30 Leaders in the Law for 2016 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. She is a partner with Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP.

Tad Roumayah, '10, was promoted to shareholder at Sommers Schwartz PC.

Jim Roush, '09, was promoted from attorney II to attorney III with Consumers Energy Co.

Kimberly Seibert, '11, was selected to participate in the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association Inn of Court program. She is an attorney with Plunkett Cooney.

Douglas Toering, '82, a partner with Mantese Honigman, was named one of 30 Leaders in the Law for 2016 by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.

Andrey Tomkiw, '92, of Tomkiw Mackewich PLC in Royal Oak was elected to serve on the Executive Council of the State Bar of Michigan Labor and Employment Law Section.

Bruce Vandegrift, '76, has been named personal trust business development officer for Chemical Bank Wealth Management's west Michigan region.

Peter Hammer presented "150 Years Later: The 13th Amendment - Freedom Comes to Michigan?" as part of the 2016 Winter Speaker Series sponsored by the Escalating Inequality Task Force in Bloomfield Hills.

D'lorah Hughes presented at the Externships 8 Conference in Cleveland. She spoke on two panels: "To Site Visit or Not to Site Visit, That is the Question" and "Seminar Design Panel for Externship 8's New Clinicians Series."

The Honorable Marilyn Kelly, '71, presented "Has America Fulfilled Its Promise of Equal Justice for All?" at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Petoskey.

Carl Levin received the 2016 Wade H. McCree Jr. Award for the Advancement of Social Justice from the Federal Bar Association Eastern District of Michigan Chapter. Levin received the award at a luncheon where he also was keynote speaker.  

Ashley Lowe presented at the Externships 8 Conference in Cleveland. She was part of a panel discussion, "To Site Visit or Not to Site Visit, That is the Question."

Carl Levin presented the luncheon keynote address at the Historical Society of Michigan's annual local history conference. His talk was titled "Reflections on Representing Michigan," and he spoke about his 36 years in the U.S. Senate.

Noah Hall was featured in several media outlets after being appointed as a special assistant attorney general in Michigan for the Flint water crisis investigation. Reports of Hall joining the team were published at MLive.com and in Crain's Detroit Business and broadcast on WDET-FM and WJRT-TV (ABC Flint).
