Announcement from the Provost - Wayne State University

We are pleased to announce the availability of the 2017-18 Tuition Exchange (TE) application for Wayne State University employees. The TE is a non-profit organization that provides dependent children of eligible employees the opportunity to receive a tuition scholarship from another institution participating in the TE Program. In exchange, dependent children of employees at other institutions may apply for a tuition scholarship at Wayne State University. A list of the over 600 colleges and universities participating in the TE program can be viewed at www.tuitionexchange.org

Eligibility
Dependent children of subsidized benefits eligible faculty and staff may participate in the TE program. It is a scholarship exchange program and not a fringe benefit provided by Wayne State University. Tuition scholarships offered by member institutions are limited and subject to a dependent’s admission to the institution and scholarship funds availability. These scholarships are limited to undergraduate students.

Application Procedures
Employees interested in this program for their dependent children beginning or continuing undergraduate education at another institution in the fall 2017 term should review the guidelines and complete the Tuition Exchange application at http://hr.wayne.edu/tcw/tuition-assistance/tuition-exchange-application.pdf

Once complete, return the application to the Human Resources by Friday, December 23, 2016. Employees who had a dependent receiving a scholarship from the Tuition Exchange in previous years must submit a 2017-18 application so their dependent can be recertified. For the 2017-18 academic year, WSU will sponsor approximately ten eligible employees, at least three of which will be new recipients.
