How can we help our students learn how to learn?
Teach Students How to Learn
21st Century students come to college with widely varying academic skills, approaches to learning, and motivations. Instructors often lament that students are focused on achieving high grades, but seem unwilling to invest much time or effort on the process of learning.
This workshop, based on cognitive science principles, will explore methods that can help students acquire simple, effective learning strategies. Participants will engage in interactive activities that can be applied across the disciplines to shift students’ focus from grades to learning. Co-sponsored by the WSU WIDER Grant Program and the Office for Teaching & Learning. Lunch will be served, so please click on the "Register Here!" button below to reserve your spot.
