In Pursuit of Justice and Grace: Reflections on Black Life and Literature In Pursuit of Justice and Grace: Reflections on Black Life and Literature  

Farah Jasmine Griffin, Ph.D., will give a presentation, "In Pursuit of Justice and Grace: Reflections on Black Life and Literature," on Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. in the Wayne State University Law School's Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium, which is located at 471 W. Palmer. Chair of the African American and African Diaspora Studies Department at Columbia University, Griffin is also the author of several books, including Harlem Nocturne: Women Artists and Progressive Politics During World War II.

African American students sponsoring "Dinner for Winners" celebration for Black History Month  

The Brotherhood, a student organization of young men of color, will hold the last in a series of "fireside chat-style" events on Feb. 26 as part of the group's "Dinner for Winners" Black History Month celebration. The event includes dinner and workshops. RSVP is required. Registration is now open.

This lecture by Professor Eboe Hutchful will reflect on sociologist and civil rights leader W.E.B. Du Bois and his eventful stay in Ghana; relations between Africans and African Americans; and the fractured discourse and politics of Pan-Africanism. The lecture will take place at 1 p.m. on Feb. 27 at the Bernath Auditorium inside the David Adamany Undergraduate Library at 5155 Gullen Mall.
