• Detroit Cardiovascular Training Program receives big boost from NIH

The Levin Center at Wayne Law, together with The Journal of Law in Society, will host a symposium on gerrymandering and the law. The event will be held on Friday, March 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Law School's Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium.

"The Fire This Time: Conversations in Black Thought" speaker series examines questions of history, protest, nation, justice and freedom. As part of the series, writers Kiese Laymon and Rae Paris explore radial black love. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Thursday, March 28, at 2:45 p.m. at 46 Helen L. DeRoy Auditorium.

The Wayne State School of Social Work, the Mike Ilitch School of Business and OptimizeWayne will host the second annual Social Entrepreneurship Conference on Friday, April 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mike Ilitch School of Business. The event is $10 for Wayne State students and $35 for all others. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
