Graduate and Postdoctoral Research Symposium, March 8, 2017

This annual highlight for the graduate student and postdoctoral community brings together over 160 researchers and scholars from across campus to share knowledge and inspire new ideas while providing professional experience for students and postdocs in presenting their research. The 3MT (Three Minute Thesis) competition will feature dynamic presentations from biology, anthropology, chemistry, pathology, social work, communication, art and art history, engineering and more. Audience votes decide the People’s Choice Award! All graduate and undergraduate students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to come experience the amazing diversity of scholarship at Wayne State. New graduate programs announced!

 

The Wayne State University Board of Governors recently approved the establishment of several new, highly innovative programs. The Master of Science in Data Science and Business Analytics (MSDSBA) program, will be offered jointly by the College of Engineering and the Mike Ilitch School of Business. A new graduate certificate in entrepreneurship and innovation and an M.B.A. concentration in entrepreneurship and innovation will also be offered by the Mike Illitch School of Business. The graduate school worked towards making these happen and is thrilled to see them come to fruition.
