Academic Success Center prepares students to excel
The Academic Success Center provides year-round support to students looking to improve their study skills and techniques. Free, on-campus appointments are available to all undergraduate students, allowing them to meet one-on-one with a learning specialist who can help them prepare for an exam, overcome test anxiety, study more efficiently, master course material, improve concentration, develop time management strategies, address academic concerns and more.

School of Medicine’s 300 M.D. seniors revel in historic match rate on Match Day
The Match Day celebration for the Wayne State University School of Medicine Class of 2018 was the penultimate celebration of at least the last four years for nearly 300 physicians in training who will graduate in June, resulting in a 98.32 percent residency match rate for the Class of 2018’s Match participants. WSU’s rate surpasses this year’s national match rate of 94.27 percent for allopathic students.

Community service, cultural awareness focus of Alternative Spring Break Detroit
While some students may have kicked back on sandy beaches or destinations far away for their spring break, a group of Wayne State Warriors stuck around the city for Alternative Spring Break Detroit. Each day consisted of a learning experience and a volunteer experience in different locations downtown, including Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, Focus: HOPE, Centro de San Jose, the Children’s Center, The Parade Company and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.

Students can save 30 percent on spring/summer tuition
Undergraduate students who complete at least 24 credits between fall 2017 and winter 2018 may be eligible for a 30 percent discount on tuition for spring/summer classes, providing families with tremendous financial savings and keeping students on track to complete their studies faster.
