The Community Homeless Interprofessional Program Clinic is looking for volunteers

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!

Students and alumni from the School of Social Work have been volunteering alongside their peers from the School of Medicine, and Pharm.D at the Cathedral of St. Paul in Detroit every third Sunday of the month. Volunteers collaborate across health and social disciplines to provide basic medical and social assistance to the homeless population, including housing resources during these visits. Those looking to volunteer must sign up using the link below.

WHO Can Volunteer: B.S.W. and M.S.W. students and alumni 

WHAT: Social Work volunteers complete a small intake form with clients then provide a list of referrals based on the client's needs. Volunteers will likely see three to four clients per clinic.

WHEN: The third Sunday of every month from 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

WHERE: Cathedral of St. Paul (4800 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48201)

WHY Participate: Provides students and alumni a unique opportunity to serve Detroit’s homeless community as part of an interprofessional team consisting of social work, medical, pharmacy, and physical therapy students and professionals.
