Dear colleagues, As of March 1, 2019, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Deslyn T.G. Hobson, M.D., as the new Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery/Urogynecology Subspecialist, of a newly established division in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Hobson completed a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky, and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology from the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University programs. She was an assistant professor and generalist in the department from September 2012 - 2015. Dr. Hobson received her medical degree from the Medical University of the Americas in St. Christopher and Nevis, West Indies. Dr. Hobson has earned numerous honors and awards throughout her academic and professional career. Dr. Hobson will provide female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery services to patients at the following University Physician Group (UPG) facilities:
