Renewed Pharm.D. Curriculum Update

Students on your rotations are the first to have completed the Renewed Pharm.D. Curriculum. These students began the P1 year gaining skills in patient care lab, problem-based learning and acquiring knowledge through pharmacotherapy modules. Throughout the second year, students participated in early introductory pharmacy practice experiences conducting medication histories at underserved clinics. The P3 year students participated in advanced problem-solving courses, hospital and community introductory practice experiences with these 3 years culminating in a capstone course. Prior to starting APPE rotations students successfully demonstrated preparedness for the 4th year through high-stakes Objective Structured Clinical Examinations assessing their ability to take a comprehensive medication history, OTC selection, verifying community and hospital prescription orders and providing pharmacotherapy recommendations.
