Dear campus community, It is with a heavy heart that I share with you that Darrin Adams, a custodian and member of our Wayne State family, passed away from complications caused by COVID-19. Darrin worked at Wayne State for nearly six years, mostly in Manoogian Hall. He was also a student, studying for his degree in sociology. He was one of us, and we all grieve his loss. Darrin leaves behind family and friends, and we keep them in our thoughts as they deal with this unexpected loss. We hope that their grief is assuaged by good memories of a life well lived. This pandemic has hit Detroit hard, and we have all watched with great concern as the cases in our city have mounted. Unfortunately, our campus is not immune. We have had a number of cases, and now we mourn the loss of one of our employees. Please be safe, and follow the guidelines from the CDC, which are posted on our website and in many other places.
