C&IT employees,

We have received our targets for the 2021 Fiscal Year and I have some updates about the WarriorIT consolidation project and the C&IT budget.

The WarriorIT consolidation project inventory and discovery process is on schedule and units continue to discover many opportunities to build upon and enhance Wayne State IT support. Although there is a potential for a reduction in force, please note the following:

1. No actions will be taken through the end of the 2020 calendar year.
2. We now believe that there will be significantly less impact than originally estimated. This is primarily due to the Board of Governors approving the expenditure of some rainy day funds and temporary unpaid leave (furlough) for unrepresented employees who make more than $100k/year. Further details on furloughs are to be decided by HR and more information will be shared as soon as it is available.
