CAPS Services for Students

Here are a few updates and reminders regarding WSU's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) from Director, Jeff Kuentzel. According to Dr. Kuentzel, "Usage remains mostly down since COVID. There is never a wait if a student is in crisis or requests to talk to a counselor right away. Initial Consultations are now being self-scheduled online (see website).  The wait to start counseling is 1-3 weeks but the average is 7 days."  Advisors can also refer students to the popular groups run through CAPS as well: https://caps.wayne.edu/groups/wintergroups2021final.pdf.
