The Wayne State University School of Social Work invites to you attend the international virtual seniors housing conference, Planning for Seniors Housing in Changing Cities: A Cross National Exchange taking place from 12 - 4 pm on May 11 and 12, 2021. Canadian and American presenters, including event organizer and WSU Associate Professor of Social Work Tam Perry, PhD, will lead discussions on priority topics related to seniors housing, such as housing preservation, eviction prevention, and access to support efforts during the COVID-19 crisis.

Students, researchers, community practitioners, policymakers and older tenants from across Canada and the United States will have opportunities to collaborate, exchange knowledge and share ideas about best practices in seniors housing during this two-day event.

The conference also includes a student and postdoctoral fellow poster competition & other additional training opportunities for students to network with experts in housing and aging, including an interactive pre-conference workshop on designing high-impact posters with John Beilenson, president of SCP and founder of PosterBuzz. Abstracts for the poster competition are due by March 19, 2021. The on-demand virtual posters will be available to all conference attendees on our virtual platform until May 2022. A $100 CDN prize will be awarded to the three best posters!
