Wayne State University

Dear campus community,

The COVID-19 infection rate in the city of Detroit has now decreased to below our 15% trigger metric for the first time in a month. As a result, we will reinstate on-campus activities that were paused on April 7.

Students who are scheduled for a laboratory or other pre-approved, in-person class should check with their instructors prior to reporting.

Other campus activities will return to normal spring/summer hours and operations, which can be found on individual unit websites.

Please continue to monitor your communications and the Wayne State coronavirus website for follow-up information, or contact your supervisor with specific questions.

We continue to urge members of campus to get a vaccination if they haven't yet done so, and to continue to take the appropriate precautions to ensure the health and safety of themselves, our campus, and the community. Thank you for doing your part to help keep our campus Warrior Strong.

Regards,

M. Roy Wilson
