Office of the Provost - Wayne State University

Dear Colleagues,

As many faculty are having to adjust their courses and delivery this Spring/Summer, we are going to continue our flexibility with respect to SET scores. To accomplish this, the following is being implemented:

All instructors (regardless whether they are teaching face to face or online) will have online SET’s completed this Spring/Summer.  Instructors will be able to waive their scores after seeing them at the end of the semester. The absence of SET Scores will not be used as a negative factor in determining Selective Salary scores and adjustments or in Promotion and Tenure decisions.

While we have continued this practice as we have been mostly remote, the anticipated return to campus, and coinciding changes in the Fall schedule, will mean the waiver option will be discontinued in the Fall.

If you have questions about this policy or how the waiver will be implemented, please reach out to your SET coordinator or contact the Office of Testing, Evaluation & Research Services.

Thank you!
Boris
