As we prepare for the start of the fall semester next week, please remember to submit proof of your COVID-19 vaccination if you have not done so already.
All students, faculty and staff must prove they are fully vaccinated by Aug. 30 in order to be allowed on campus this fall. You may also apply online for a waiver of the requirement based on legitimate health or religious reasons, which you can submit online. Individuals who have an approved waiver will be required to be COVID-19 tested once per week and to wear a mask indoors.
Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 31, the Campus Daily Screener will be updated to prohibit any unvaccinated individuals who do not have an approved waiver from campus. More information is available on Wayne State’s vaccine mandate page. This submission is separate from the Summer Warrior Vaccine Incentive; if you participated in the incentive, you must still submit a form for the mandate.
This week, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration gave full approval to the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, underscoring the effectiveness and importance of these vaccines. If you have not yet been vaccinated, all three vaccines are available at the Campus Health Center, or you can receive your vaccine at a location convenient to you.
