Student Senate - Wayne State University

Hello Warriors,

I hope that you are staying safe and enjoying the new semester. The Student Senate currently has openings for the following representative positions:

  • Three member-at-large positions
  • School of Social Work
  • College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts
  • College of Engineering
  • School of Information Sciences
  • Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
  • Housing and Residential Life
  • School of Medicine

The member-at-large roles are open to students who meet the minimum qualifications listed below. All school/college positions require students to be members of that school or college.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Available to attend meetings at 6 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of the month. Meetings usually go past 8 p.m., so please make sure to keep your Thursday evenings open.
  • Meet minimum academic standards as described in our charter and bylaws.

If you are interested in getting involved in Student Senate but do not qualify for the open seats, there are other opportunities available. You can attend our meetings on the first and third Thursday of each month, attend town halls, join our project groups, or keep up with our work through our social media channels.
