The Awards Committee of the  Wayne State School of Social Work invites you to submit a nomination for either a full-time faculty and/or staff for the School’s Service Award. This annual award recognizes two members of the School of Social Work for outstanding service, one full-time faculty and one staff. 

Criteria

The Service Award emphasizes service to the School of Social Work and its students, the greater social work community, and the profession of social work.  It recognizes service of an exemplary nature, which is defined by such attributes as creativity, innovation, leadership, and mentorship.  Service activities may include committee work, student advising, student organization advising, community activism, curriculum development, and overall support to students and to the School.

Nominations

Nominations may be submitted by any social work faculty or staff member.

Nomination packets

Please nominate your Social Work Warrior In Action online through the link below. For the nomination, please include the name of the nominee and a statement (no more than 500 words) addressing those activities that warrant nomination.

Nominations must be submitted by Friday, March 15, 2024. Each award recipient will receive a $500 cash prize.
