GME accomplishments at mid-year

GME accomplishments at mid-year

At the halfway mark in the 2023-24 academic year, I’d like to share with our readers three notable GME achievements to date. First, GME and its primary clinical partner, Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital (APRH), were again selected to participate in an AIAMC (Alliance of Independent Academic Centers) National Initiative, to be conducted across 2023-25. These initiatives are national, multi-institutional collaboratives by which resident and faculty teams carry out activities aligned with their site's strategic goals, seeking to drive change that will result in meaningful and sustainable outcomes for patient populations and institutional culture. National Initiative IX’s focus is on the Social and Moral Determinants of Health. AIAMC chose the GME/APRH team based upon their demonstrated commitment to local and community engagement and providing equitable care for all. For this initiative, GME is collaborating primarily with the Family Medicine program at APRH, in particular their current efforts toward creating a formal FM Community Outreach curriculum.
