Best of luck on exams

Here are 6 tips to keep you at peak performance:

  1. Prioritize sleep - Aim for seven to eight hours of sleep per night. Avoid all-nighters, as they can harm focus and memory retention.
  2. Stay hydrated - Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Bring a reusable water bottle to campus and use the refill stations.
  3. Healthy snacking - Stock up on brain-boosting snacks like nuts, fruit, yogurt and whole-grain crackers instead of relying on junk food.
  4. Create a study schedule - Avoid cramming. Break study sessions into manageable chunks and schedule breaks to avoid burnout.
  5. Connect with peers - Study with friends or form study groups to stay motivated and make exam prep more enjoyable.
  6. Balance work and relaxation - Reward yourself after study sessions with something relaxing, such as watching a show, reading for fun or hanging out with friends.

By incorporating these tips into your routine, you’ll be better prepared mentally and physically for finals. Good luck!

Support for managing stress

This time of the year can be very stressful. If you’re struggling, you may want to seek support. Our free, confidential mental health triage service will provide you with resources, on or off campus, that align with your needs. To start the process, please complete the mental health triage form. Our clinician will follow up and guide you through the next steps.

Common reasons students use mental health triage include:

  • Feeling stressed, overwhelmed or anxious
  • Facing relationship issues
  • Feeling lonely or isolated
  • Difficulty adjusting to college

Mental health triage is for students with non-emergency mental health needs.

You don’t have time for the flu

The best way to protect yourself and others is by getting the flu vaccine. Campus Health Center offers walk-in flu vaccines. There's no need to schedule an appointment. Simply stop by the clinic with your driver’s license, OneCard and insurance card. Most insurance plans fully cover the flu vaccine. If you prefer to self-pay, the cost is $25 due at the time of service.

Campus Health Center sees patients Monday through Friday. We open at 9 a.m. and take our last patient at 4:45 p.m. We close daily from 1 to 1:30 p.m. for lunch.
