Wayne State University - School of Social Work

Serving fathers icon

Serving fathers and their families is energizing, exciting and powerful work.  It can also be challenging at times.  The current Coronavirus pandemic has required a great deal of flexibility on the part of leaders and practitioners in the fatherhood field.

Hosted by Wayne State Social Work Associate Professor Carolyn Joy Dayton and University of Michigan Sheldon D Rose Collegiate Professor of Social Work Richard Tolman, this weekly discussion will provide the place and the space to connect with and support each other.  If you are a director, CEO, leader or service provider in the fatherhood field, you are invited to join these meetings starting May 15, 2020. We will discuss pragmatic challenges to engaging with fathers during a crisis, develop solutions together, and reflect on and refuel from the emotional intensity of this work.
