"Women in Academic Medicine: Choosing Leadership"

Women and men in academic medicine enter and graduate medical school in similar proportions since 2003. However, women leadership roles vary in number, types and position with much less representation in areas of clinical affairs and research.

Objectives:

  • Recognize and understand current representation of women in academic medicine
  • Identify barriers and opportunities to increase promotions and leadership positions
