Dear students, faculty and staff, Wayne State University is beginning the development of its 2022-27 strategic plan, which will guide the university’s future initiatives and build on the progress and growth achieved under the 2016-21 plan, “Distinctively Wayne State.” Yesterday, Board of Governors Chair Marilyn Kelly and I co-hosted a virtual town hall to kick off the strategic planning effort, during which we shared key aspects of the planning process and answered questions. The town hall can be viewed online. As we mentioned in the town hall, the first stage of the process is gathering information, and we invite all members of the campus community to share input for consideration in the development of the new plan.
