Debriefing: Handling Upsetting, Disappointing or Frustrating Situations

During this webinar Dr. Gillespie will discuss the topic of debriefing. Specifically, she will talk about handling upsetting, disappointing, or frustrating situations with "hot debriefing", which is based on self-debriefing and emotional intelligence. We will talk about how this tool can help both as a leader with team dynamics as well as be helpful personally with unloading some of the emotional stresses related to work.

Megan Gillespie, D.O., is a combined emergency medicine and family medicine attending physician at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where she is currently a clinical assistant professor. She recently completed the Council of Residency Directors in Emergency Medicine's Fellowship in Wellness Leadership and is an expert on debriefing in the medical setting.
