Student Senate - Wayne State University

Hello, Warriors!

I hope that you are staying safe and enjoying your summer. The Student Senate currently has vacancies for the following representatives: 

  • College of Engineering
  • College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts
  • College of Nursing
  • Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences
  • Law School
  • Mike Ilitch School of Business 
  • School of Information Sciences
  • School of Medicine

If you are a registered student of any of the above schools or colleges, you have the opportunity to join the Student Senate and become a representative and advocate for your peers. To learn more about the work of Student Senate as well as the duties and responsibilities of holding a seat, please visit studentsenate.wayne.edu

Minimum qualifications:

  • Available to attend meetings at 6 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of the month. Meetings usually go past 8 p.m., so please make sure to keep your Thursday evenings open.
  • Meet minimum academic standards as described in our charter and bylaws found at studentsenate.wayne.edu/about.

If you are interested in getting involved in Student Senate but do not qualify for the open seats, there are other opportunities for you to get involved. You can still attend our meetings on the first and third Thursday of each month, attend town halls, join our project groups, or keep up with our work through our social media channels.

We are excited about the work we will do in the 2022-23 academic year and are looking forward to having you on our team!
