Detroit Equity Inc. (DEI) will host its inaugural symposium on Sept. 27 to share a new report on equity and inclusion in the city of Detroit. DEI has partnered with Wayne State University’s Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights to develop the report. WSU President M. Roy Wilson will address the symposium, along with keynote speaker Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II. 

The Wayne State University School of Social Work invites you to join us on Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. for an Open House event welcoming the community to experience our renovated building space. Attendees will mix and mingle with fellow Warriors, community members and friends as they complete an interactive scavenger hunt and learn what distinguishes us as Detroit's social work school. 

Join Wayne State University's College of Education on Oct. 17 at 5 p.m. for this free panel discussion that will explore what lessons from New Orleans can be applied to the challenges Detroit schools face as we seek to recover from learning loss and build an education model that works for all kids.
