Paradise: Myth of a Liberal North Paradise: Myth of a Liberal North  

Join WSU tomorrow at noon at the Elaine L. Jacob Gallery for Paradise: Myth of a Liberal North, a exhibition centered around the systematic destruction of Black space in the early half to mid 20th century in the United States. Using archived image from Detroit's own Black Bottom and Paradise Valley, this work layers history, geography, social relations and the present together.

Detroit Writing Room Author Series ft. Dr. M. Roy Wilson  

On Jan. 25, the Detroit Writing Room Author Series will feature Wayne State University president Dr. M. Roy Wilson for an intimate book talk and signing at the historic Whitney mansion in Detroit. The event begins at 7 p.m. Dr. Wilson is the 12th president of Wayne State University. His memoir, “The Plum Tree Blossoms Even in Winter,” was released in 2022 by Wayne State University Press.

The Biomedical Career Advancement Program (BCAP) is a summer research experience for youth interested in pursuing careers in health science. Students work alongside senior research/clinical faculty to explore research investigation in a highly enriched environment. Applications for the program are due by 5 p.m. on Feb. 6, 2023.
