Records, Registration & Scheduling - School of Medicine - Wayne State University

Dear Students,

Enrollment verification plays an extremely important role when it comes to deferring payments for your student loans. In terms of your verification, please note that your enrollment information was sent July 9 to the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC), who in turn, forwards your enrollment information either directly to lenders or to the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS). The transmission to the NSLDS occurred on July 17. This process is completely automated, thus eliminating the need for our office to manually fill out deferment forms for student loans, resulting in quicker processing times for you.

Databases take time to update and communicate information between themselves. If your lender is indicating that you are not enrolled, please allow a few weeks for these updates and data transmission to occur.

Students can download an enrollment verification certificate in Academica that confirms your enrollment status. You can share this certificate with scholarship organizations, insurance companies, etc.

In Academica, click on Student Resources > Registration > Enrollment Verification. You'll set up an account with MyHub through the National Student Clearinghouse, and can download your certificate under Enrollment History.

Sincerely,

Office of Records, Registration and Scheduling
