Detroit Jazz City Orchestra Plus Detroit Jazz City Orchestra Plus  

Join us at 7 p.m. on Aug. 12 for a benefit concert with Detroit’s finest jazz ensemble, the Detroit Jazz City Orchestra Plus. Proceeds will go to the Crockett-Lumumba Scholars program at WSU, a new four-year student success program rooted in an African American Studies curriculum, as well as our community partner, the General Baker Institute.

Join the Office of Multicultural Student Engagement at 6 p.m. on Aug. 26 for the sixth annual Wayne State University Welcome Black event in the Student Center Ballroom. Connect with peers, faculty and staff. Welcome Black will feature an informational session and networking activity, followed by a student social with DJ Cash, food, a photo booth and other opportunities.
