Campus Health Center - Wayne State University

Mental health triage service

If you are struggling, it’s okay to ask for help! The Campus Health Center (CHC) offers a mental health triage service that will help you navigate the mental health options available to you. This free, confidential service will offer you a better understanding of your mental health needs and provide a list of resources that can best address your situation.

To get started, please complete the mental health triage form. Once submitted, you will be contacted by a Campus Health Center clinician, who will guide you through the next steps.

Mental health triage may be right for you if you:

  • Feel stressed, overwhelmed, or anxious
  • Struggle with relationship issues
  • Feel lonely or isolated
  • Have trouble adjusting to college life

The mental health triage service is for currently enrolled WSU students with non-emergency mental health needs only.

Free rapid HIV testing

Are you at risk for HIV? Many factors can increase someone’s chance of getting or transmitting HIV, either from having sex or from sharing needles or syringes. We offer free rapid HIV testing to WSU students, faculty and staff, on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon at the Campus Health Center. An appointment is required. You must call 313-577-5041 to secure your spot. Bring your OneCard and/or photo ID to your appointment. Your insurance card is not needed.
