Hey, CLAS Communicators! This is a friendly reminder to post your upcoming events to the university event calendar. You can do this by visiting events.wayne.edu and selecting "Manage events" (also requires access to your dept. calendar). Adding your events to the university event calendar also adds these events to your website and promotes the event throughout the university, e.g., search, Today@Wayne, Get Involved, digital signs, etc. You can also add an image to your event with pre-sized Canva templates ready for you (see your department Canva folder or dept. resources > marketing documentation page). In addition to the event calendar, you're welcome to create a news article (not a spotlight) promoting the event and also promote the event on other platforms, e.g., Facebook, paper flyers, etc. However, events.wayne.edu should always be your first stop for promoting any event. Promoting other eventsWhen you don't have any of your own events to promote, we encourage you to keep your calendar populated by sharing or "cross promoting" other university or community events that are relevant to your students/faculty/staff on your dept. calendars. You can do this by navigating to an event and selecting the "cross promote" dropdown near the bottom.
