Anahita Zahertar Anahita Zahertar  

A Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Zahertar was selected as the recipient of the 2023-24 WTS Michigan Helene M. Overly Memorial Scholarship. As the Michigan Chapter winner, her application will be submitted for the International WTS Foundation Scholarship.

Yang, a professor of industrial and systems engineering, recently published a new book titled “Quality in the Era of Industry 4.0.” The book is intended as an insightful guide to harnessing user performance and behavior data through AI and other Industry 4.0 technologies.

In February, nearly 500 Wayne State University students connected with more than 50 employers looking to hire motivated and innovative candidates for full-time jobs, internships, co-ops or part-time experience.

Online M.S. in Systems Engineering Info Sessions  

Wednesdays through April 24, 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.  |  These virtual events will provide details on Wayne State's new highly-flexible program that offers concentrations in both commercial and defense systems, a unique blend of INCOSE certification preparedness, integrated internship opportunities, and an exclusive capstone design course.

Engineering Employer Meet and Greets  

March 21 and April 3, noon  |  Students are encouraged to stop by the College of Engineering building between classes to talk to representatives from employers and learn about opportunities in their companies.

Anderson Institute Open House  

Thursday, March 21, noon  |  Discuss opportunities that exist within the James and Patricia Anderson Engineering Ventures Institute, which provides a foundation for successful innovation and entrepreneurship as well as spaces where students can focus on the research and development of concepts and products designed to enhance people’s lives.

Senior Capstone Design Day  

Thursday, April 18, 1 p.m.  |  Undergraduate students in the College of Engineering complete a senior project — a design capstone — as part of their degree program. This course is the culmination of their studies and allows them an opportunity to demonstrate how their skills can be used to solve real-world problems.

Hall of Fame Awards Dinner  

Thursday, April 18, 6 p.m.  |  Join the College of Engineering and Dean Ali Abolmaali in honoring exemplary members of the Wayne State University engineering and computer science alumni community.
