Dear Wayne State University community, Thank you to everyone who attended Monday’s investiture ceremony at the Detroit Institute of Arts. I was honored to see so many people come together to celebrate our university’s rich history and look ahead to our bright future. I especially want to thank all who organized and participated in the event, as well as our Board of Governors for entrusting me with the leadership of this university. Below is a video of the remarks I delivered during the ceremony, which introduced our Prosperity Agenda. This agenda builds on the foundation laid by our strategic plan to guide us as we better the lives of our students and further our commitment to the health and prosperity of our community. Built around three pillars, it will fuel the work we do on and off campus every day. More information on the Prosperity Agenda is available on my website, which will be regularly updated to announce new initiatives and inform you of our progress. Thank you again for your dedication to Wayne State. We all have a role to play in the future of this great institution, and I look forward to working alongside you to take us into our next exciting era.
