May is Mental Health MonthThis year’s theme for Mental Health Month is “Where to Start: Mental Health in a Changing World.” If you are a WSU student, the Campus Health Center is a great place start. Physical health and mental health are equally important components of overall health, so we encourage you to share your mental health concerns with our team. If needed, our provider will refer you to our mental health triage service, our social worker or our psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. It’s OK to ask for help. Mental health triageNavigating mental health options can feel overwhelming, so let us help. Our free, confidential mental health triage service can provide you with resources, on or off campus, that best align with your needs and preferences. Mental health triage is for WSU students with non-emergency mental health needs. Let's TalkCurrently registered WSU students can schedule a free 15-minute Zoom meeting with a CAPS counselor, who will provide psychoeducation, resources and referrals. The scheduling link is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Note: The Campus Health Center’s "Let’s Talk" session is every Tuesday, from 2 to 3 p.m. Step 1: Schedule a Let's Talk meeting Step 2: Use the Zoom link that corresponds with your appointment time.
