The Michigan Area Health Education Center (AHEC) was recently awarded $803,000 in grant funds from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for Fiscal Year 2024/2025.

The 10th annual Biomedical Career Advancement Pipeline Program (BCAP) was hosted this summer at Wayne State University School of Medicine. BCAP was founded by Dr. Janelle White PhD. This year’s program focused on Sickle Cell Anemia research.

WRCC wrapped up the West Michigan Health Careers Pipeline Program (WM HCPP) on March 18th.  This year the program included two onsite sessions providing face-to-face time with mentors and hands-on activities including: an ambulance tour, ultrasound training, and reviewing organ models.
