Accountability groups are essential for students as it fosters discipline, motivation, and a strong sense of responsibility. These groups provide a structured environment where students set goals, track progress, and receive constructive feedback from their peers. By regularly sharing their achievements and challenges, students develop a sense of commitment and are less likely to procrastinate or abandon their academic and personal objectives. The Academic Success Center is hosting two accountability communities:
Structured Study Sessions
Structured Study Sessions using the Pomodoro Technique help college students improve focus, productivity, and time management. By breaking study time into manageable chunks, students can maintain concentration, reduce mental fatigue, and retain information more effectively. The structured approach also minimizes distractions and promotes a sense of accomplishment, making studying more efficient and less overwhelming.
Come study with us on Wednesdays from 5-7PM and Fridays from 11-1PM. These sessions are held in the UGL Engagement HUB. RSVP through the ASC Workshop listings.
Learning Support Services
