$50 million gift from James and Patricia Anderson powers engineering excellence

WSU alumnus James A. Anderson (BSCE ’66, MSCE ’70) and his wife, Patricia, have made a $50 million gift to the university to accelerate research, entrepreneurship and student success in the College of Engineering. In recognition of this historic investment, the college will be renamed the James and Patricia Anderson College of Engineering.

Detroit middle-schoolers get inspired to Go Out and Love Science

One hundred thirty-five children from three Detroit Public Schools visited the WSU School of Medicine last week to participate in Go Out and Love Science, or #GOALS, in collaboration with the Ascension Foundation and Ascension Community Impact.

All are welcome to join us on April 26 at noon at the Wayne State Fieldhouse for the Sankofa Celebration: A Pre-Commencement Celebration of Black Excellence. The celebration is an African-centered pre-commencement ceremony that honors undergraduate, graduate and professional school students who have successfully completed their studies at WSU.
